She went on to appear in over 30 films, including The Great Love (1918), The Little American (1917), and The Valley of the Giants (1919). McHugh's last film was The Show of Shows (1929). She retired from acting shortly after and died in Los Angeles in 1971. McHugh's net worth is unknown.
